Printing bills on an 80 mm thermal printer

AgroPay’s bill is laid out for 80 mm receipt paper and prints through the normal Windows print dialog, so any printer with a working Windows driver can print it.

Set up once

1. Install the Windows driver from your printer’s maker and print a Windows test page. If the test page does not print, AgroPay cannot print either.
2. In AgroPay, make a bill and press Save & print. The print dialog opens by itself.
3. Choose your thermal printer.
4. Under more settings, set the paper size to 80 mm (some drivers call it 72 mm printable or “Roll Paper 80 x 297 mm”), margins to None or Minimum, and scale to 100% or Default.
5. Print. The dialog usually remembers these settings for next time.

If the bill is too small, cut off or has a long blank tail

• Tiny text: scale is set to “Fit to page” with an A4 paper size. Choose the 80 mm paper size and 100% scale.
• Right edge cut off: the driver is set to 58 mm paper. AgroPay’s layout needs 80 mm.
• Long blank paper after the bill: in the printer driver’s preferences, turn on paper cut after the job or choose a roll paper size instead of a fixed page length.

Printing on an ordinary A4 printer

It works, and the bill comes out as a narrow slip on the page. AgroPay does not have a separate A4 invoice layout.
