One trade, done properly
AgroPay is built for agri-input shops and nothing else. That is why it knows what a pesticide batch, a seed lot and an MRP-inclusive fertilizer bag are, and why a general billing app does not.
About
An agri shop, whether a krishi seva kendra, an agro centre or a khad-beej bhandar, sells seed, fertilizer and pesticide from one counter, under three licences, on credit that is repaid after harvest. AgroPay exists to make that counter's paperwork correct and quick, in the shopkeeper's own language.
An agri-input shop carries more record-keeping than almost any other small retailer. There is GST at three different rates, often on one bill. Pesticides and seed carry batch numbers and expiry dates. An agriculture officer can ask for the pesticide register on any afternoon. And much of the season's business is credit, noted down at sowing and collected months later.
Most shops carry all of this on paper, or on general billing software that was built for a kirana store and knows none of it. AgroPay was built the other way round: starting from the counter of an agri-input shop, and adding only what that counter needs.
How we work
AgroPay is built for agri-input shops and nothing else. That is why it knows what a pesticide batch, a seed lot and an MRP-inclusive fertilizer bag are, and why a general billing app does not.
Bills, customers and books stay on the shop's own computer. We never receive a copy unless a shop sends one to us for support, so we cannot lose it, sell it or be asked for it.
A village counter cannot stop billing because a tower is down. Everything that matters at the counter runs offline.
The price is on the website and it is the same for every shop. Nobody should wonder whether the shop across the road paid less.
Support answers on WhatsApp, phone and email in English, Marathi, Hindi and Kannada, and the video tutorials start from the first product and the first bill.
Rounding, returns, cancellations and the GST tables follow the rules as written, and they are tested before an update goes out.
AgroPay updates itself on every shop's computer, so fixes and new features reach a shop without a technician visit. Every notable change is listed on the What's new page, in plain words.
