Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

AgroPay is billing, GST, stock and khata software for agri-input shops in India. In this policy, "we", "us" and "AgroPay" mean the publisher of the AgroPay software, and "you" means the shop or person using it.

2. Your shop's data stays on your computer

The AgroPay desktop application stores everything you enter, including invoices, customers, suppliers, products, stock, payments and your accounts, in a database file on your own Windows PC. It is designed to work fully offline.

• We do not upload, copy, sync or back up your shop's data to our servers or to any cloud service.
• We have no remote access to your database and cannot read your bills or customer details.
• Backups you create are written to a folder you choose on your own computer or drive. Keeping those backups safe is your responsibility.
• If you send us a backup or screenshot yourself while asking for support, we use it only to solve that problem and delete it afterwards.

You decide what you record about your own customers, such as names, villages, mobile numbers and dues, and you are responsible for that information and for how you use it.

3. What the app sends over the internet

The app makes a small number of outbound requests. None of them sends your bills, customers or accounts to us.

• Automatic updates. AgroPay checks a public software release feed to see whether a newer version exists and, if so, downloads it. This reveals your IP address and the version you are on, as visiting any web page does.
• Licence activation. An identifier derived from your computer's hardware is used so the licence works on that machine and cannot be copied to others. It is included in the activation request you send us. It is not a name, phone number or location and tells us nothing about your business.
• Weather for WhatsApp messages. If you use weather messages, the app sends the village locations you choose to a public weather forecast service to fetch the forecast. No customer names or numbers are sent.
• Bill scanning language file. Supplier bill scanning runs on your computer. If its English language file is missing from the installation, the app downloads it once from a public software host.

4. WhatsApp features

When you share a bill or send a message to a customer, it goes from your own WhatsApp account, and WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy apply to it. AgroPay does not receive a copy.

In WhatsApp Marketing's linked-device mode, the WhatsApp session that lets AgroPay send from your number is stored on your computer. Replies from customers are read on your computer only to detect opt-out words such as STOP. Customers who opt out are not messaged again.

5. This website

agropaysoftware.com uses Google Analytics to count visits and understand which pages are useful. It sets cookies and records ordinary technical information such as approximate region, device type, browser and pages viewed, and whether a WhatsApp or download button was pressed. It does not identify you personally, and we do not combine it with anything else. You can block these cookies in your browser and the site still works.

Fonts and images are served from this website itself. The demo bill on this website runs in your browser; the shop name you type into it is not sent anywhere. Pressing a WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta under its own privacy policy.

6. When you contact us

If you message us on WhatsApp, call or email, we receive what you send, typically your name, phone number or email address, your shop's name and your question. We keep it only to answer you and to support you afterwards. We do not add you to marketing lists you did not ask for, and we do not sell or rent your contact details.

7. Payments

We do not collect or store card numbers, UPI PINs, bank passwords or other payment credentials on this website or inside the app.

8. How long we keep things

Support conversations and enquiries are kept as long as we reasonably need them to support you, then deleted. Website analytics follow Google Analytics' retention settings. Your shop's data is not held by us at all.

9. Your choices

• Ask us what enquiry or support information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it.
• Ask us to stop contacting you.
• Block analytics cookies in your browser.
• Remove your shop's data at any time by deleting it from your own computer.

10. Children

AgroPay is business software for shop owners and their staff and is not directed at children.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be mentioned on the website.
