Fertilizer register
The fertilizer stock register, a day at a time
A fertilizer dealer is asked to keep a daily account of each fertilizer: what was in stock, what arrived, what was sold, what is left. AgroPay writes that from the bills you are already making.
A day-book, not a monthly total
The daily stock account is what the Fertiliser (Control) Order asks a dealer to keep, and a monthly total cannot answer the question it is written for: what was on the premises on the 14th. So AgroPay lays it out the way the register does: one page per fertilizer, one line per day, the closing balance of one day becoming the opening balance of the next.
Two deliberate departures. Days on which nothing came in and nothing went out are skipped, because a page of unchanged lines hides the days that matter. And when stock is written off, a written-off column appears for that month, so the balance still reconciles instead of a bag vanishing without explanation.
The remarks column does the explaining
Against a day's receipt sits the supplier's bill number, and against a day's sales the range of your own bill numbers, from the first to the last. That is what turns a quantity into something checkable: an inspector reading "memo 412 to 431" can ask for any bill in between, and you can produce it in a few seconds from the Sale Register.
A digital register is allowed, but check your state
Keeping this record on a computer instead of a bound book has been permitted since the notification of 7 March 2022, and the register AgroPay prints carries the same columns the paper one has. It does not print a form number on the page. Which layout your licence needs is decided by your state's Agriculture Department, and the safe thing is to show them one printed month before you rely on it.
AgroPay does not connect to the Aadhaar-based ePoS machine used for subsidised fertilizer. That sale is still recorded on the machine; the register here covers your shop's own books.

Questions about this
Does AgroPay keep a fertilizer stock register?
Yes. It writes a day-wise stock account for each fertilizer from your bills: opening balance, quantity received, total, quantity sold and closing balance for every day of the month, with the supplier's bill number and your own bill numbers in the remarks column. Days with no receipt and no sale are skipped.
Keeping this record on a computer has been permitted since the notification of 7 March 2022. AgroPay does not print a form number on it, so show your Agriculture Department one printed month before you rely on it.
Does AgroPay replace the government fertilizer PoS machine?
No. AgroPay does not connect to the Aadhaar-based ePoS machine used for subsidised fertilizer sales, and that sale still has to be recorded there. AgroPay keeps the GST bill, stock, khata and accounts for your shop, including the pesticides, seeds and other items the PoS machine does not handle.
