Your whole shop on your phone, wherever you are
At the distributor’s office, at home after closing, or out on a collection round: open AgroPay on your phone and it is the same AgroPay as at the counter, working on the same books.
The same AgroPay, laid out for a phone
The phone opens the screens you use at the counter, sized for a phone: the dashboard, New Sale, customers and their khata, stock, the Cashbook and every report. A bill or a payment made on the phone goes straight into the shop’s books, and the counter sees it at once.
On Android, press and hold the AgroPay icon to jump straight to New Sale, Customers, Cashbook or Reports.
Only your phones, and only you
Knowing your shop’s address is not enough to open it. Each phone is added at the shop computer by scanning a QR code that works once and expires in ten minutes, and a phone that was not added sees only a page saying so. Only the owner can sign in from a phone. Shop Settings lists every added phone with a Remove button, and what was done from them.
A few things stay at the shop computer and are left out of the phone’s menu: restoring a backup, users and passwords, the licence, Google Drive and linking WhatsApp.
Switching it on
At the shop computer, open Shop Settings and switch on Open AgroPay on my phone, from anywhere. The first time, AgroPay downloads the part that connects phones, about 55 MB, once. Then press Add a phone and scan the code with that phone’s camera.
Sign in, and the phone offers to install AgroPay: Android shows an Install button, and on an iPhone you tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. From then on AgroPay opens from its own icon, in the language the shop computer uses.
What the shop computer has to do
The books stay on the shop computer, so it has to be switched on, with AgroPay open and connected to the internet. A switch on the same card keeps the computer from going to sleep; the screen can still turn off. If the computer is off, the phone shows a page saying the shop computer is not answering.
The phone reaches the shop through Cloudflare, at an address for your shop on agropaysoftware.com. Your shop’s data is not stored with us.

Questions about this
Is the AgroPay app in the Play Store or App Store?
No. It installs from the phone’s browser after you sign in, and then sits on the home screen with its own icon like any other app. There is no store download and no separate account: you sign in as the owner, the same as at the counter.
Does it work when the shop computer is off?
No. The phone opens AgroPay on the shop computer, so that computer has to be switched on, with AgroPay open and online. Your books never move to the phone.
Can my staff use it from their phones?
No. Only the owner, the user who manages the other users, can sign in from a phone. Partners and staff can ask the shop on WhatsApp instead, from up to 10 numbers you allow.
What if I lose my phone?
Remove it in Shop Settings at the shop computer. It stops opening AgroPay at once. A phone can be added again later with a new code.
